William L.”Bill” Brown

LAUREL — Funeral services for William L.”Bill” Brown, 81, who died Friday, May 10, 2013, at his residence in Laurel, will be 3 p.m. today at Memory Chapel with the Rev. John Allen and the Rev. John Dudley officiating.

Burial will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery under the direction of Memory Chapel.

Mr. Brown was born Jan. 21, 1932, in Laurel to Pendleton Cluis Brown and Marguerite Brown. He was a lifelong resident of Laurel and a member of First Trinity Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed life and was an avid fisherman.

In 1951, Mr. Brown married his sweetheart Sara Lowe Brown of Laurel on March 9, 1951. This year was there 62nd anniversary.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Brown is survived by his wife of 62 years, Sara Lowe Brown; two sons, Grady Brown and wife, Beverly, of Laurel, Gary Ray Brown and wife, Pat, of Natchez; one daughter, Dee Brown Price and husband, Frank, of McComb; two sisters, Clarice Landrum and husband, Ronnie, and Anita Brown Atkinson of Manchester, Tenn.; five grandchildren, James Skates, William Williamson, Gary Brown, Stephanie Price Hoffman and James Price; and seven great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be James Skates, William Williamson, Gary Brown, James Price, Narvel Adams and Eddie Brown.

Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Brown, Steven Brown and Donnie Hill.

The Brown family wishes to thank all the relatives, friends and the staff of Wesley Medical Center and the staff of Amedisys Home Health Care, and the staff of the First Trinity Presbyterian Church of Laurel. In lieu of flowers make contribution to First Trinity Presbyterian Church of Laurel.
