FERRIDAY — Services for Carl L. White, 65, of Ferriday, who died Friday, May 10, 2013, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Morning Star Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. Danny Lewis officiating.

Burial will follow at St. James Church Cemetery in Frogmore under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. White was born March 8, 1948, in Ferriday, the son of the Rev. Anthony and Leola Jackson White. He was retired from General Motors.

Mr. White was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include one son, Anthony White and wife, Sherri, of Baton Rouge; three daughters, Ferne Griffis and husband, Calvin, of Mount Morris, Mich., Stephanie Byron and husband, Abdul, of Flint, Mich.. and Charmagne White of Ferriday; one brother, Anthony Thomas White Jr. of San Francisco; five sisters, Iantha Hayes and husband, Charles, Barbara F. White, Linda K. Sherbia, all of Ferriday, Doris Green of Los Angeles and Veronica Jenkins and husband, Ernest, of Baton Rouge; 18 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
