Mr. and Mrs. Plevis Brown of Natchez and Mr. James Henry of Greenville announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Latrece Henry, to Lawrence Samuel Walton, grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Thomas of Compton, Calif.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of St. Joseph High School in Greenville and a graduate of Copiah-Lincoln Community College. She is currently an accounting student at Alcorn State University. She is employed by United Mississippi Bank as a lending assistant.

She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Givens and the late Mr. and Mrs. Huey Henry Sr.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Natchez High School. He is employed by Corrections Corporation of America in Natchez as a unit manager.

He is the son of the late Ms. Lita Walton.

The wedding will be at 4 p.m., Saturday, May 25, 2013, at Zion Hill Baptist Church No. 1 with the Rev. Frank Chatman Jr. of Missouri City, Texas officiating.

A reception will follow at the Natchez Community Center.
