NATCHEZ — A 15-year-old has been charged with armed robbery for his alleged part in an April beating and robbery.
Jermetrice Devan Griffin, 15, 348-A State Park Road, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and armed robbery Saturday.
Adams County Sheriff Chuck Mayfield said the teen was allegedly one of three people who called a resident of Riverwood Manor Apartments outside his home April 19 before jumping on him, beating him with a pistol — breaking his nose and cutting his lip — and taking $600 from the victim.
Mayfield said Griffin was initially arrested as a juvenile, but he was booked at the Adams County Sheriff’s Office Saturday because the courts had certified him as an adult in the crime.
Two others, Ronnie Scott Griffin Jr., 18, and Zentrelle Marquis Harris, 18, were also arrested in connection with the assault in April.
