Tommy and Cheryl Probst of Vidalia announce the engagement of their daughter, Kayla Rachelle Probst, to Joseph Michael Purvis, son of Kevin and Benita Purvis of Tallulah, La.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Vidalia High School and Copiah-Lincoln Community College. She is employed by Natchez Community Hospital. She is the granddaughter of Kenneth and Emily Cranford of Columbia and Juanita Hutson of Vidalia and the late Dr. Edwin E. Hutson.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Sterlington High School and the University of Louisiana at Monroe. He is employed by Franklin Parish Schools.

He is the grandson of Elaine Dickerson and the late Jimmy Ezell, Gene and Mary Brown and Barbara Purvis and the late Dan Purvis, all of Tallulah.

The wedding will be at 6 p.m., Saturday, June 22, 2013, at the First Baptist Church in Vidalia.

A reception will follow at the church multipurpose building.

Family and friends are invited to attend.
