NATCHEZ — Services for Lucille Sartin Booker, 74, who died Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at Promise Hospital in Vidalia following a short illness, will be at 11 a.m. today at Pilgrim Baptist Church with the Rev. Melvin White officiating.
Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Booker was a member and pastor of Woodlawn Worship Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, S.A. and Annie Mae Sartin; her husband, James Booker; and two brothers, A.T. Sartin and Hugh Sartin.
Survivors include one son, Larry James Booker of Fort Washington, Md.; eight daughters, Rona Davis, JoTina Johnson, and Tracey Booker, all of Atlanta, Brenda Booker-Hunter, Vernoise Booker and Sherilynn Booker, all of Minneapolis, Minn., Joyce Booker of Green of Ceritos, Calif., and Yolanda Booker of Natchez; five sisters, Marie “Darling” white of Natchez, JoAnn Sartin of Chicago, Hazel Sartin, Bernice Ward and Annie Ruth Grayson, all of Detroit; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and others.
