QUENTIN — Services for Jacob “Big Jake” Saulsberry, 72, of McCall Creek, who died Thursday, May 23, 2013, in Liberty, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Quentin with the Rev. Bernard Allen officiating.
Burial will follow at Amos Family Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Saulsberry was born Nov. 19, 1941, in New Orleans, the son of Jacob Saulsberry Sr. and Lucille Johnson Saulsberry.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Titus Saulsberry, Erin Saulsberry and Paul Saulsberry.
Survivors include one daughter, Wendy Amos; four sons, Kenneth Saulsberry, Derrick Saulsberry, Tim Amos and Eric Gardner; longtime companion, Eula Amos; 16 siblings; and a number of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
