Lady Kate MacRae Montagnet

NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Lady Kate MacRae Montagnet, 84, of Baton Rouge, who died peacefully Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at her residence, were Saturday, June 1, 2013, at the Natchez City Cemetery with the Rev. David O’Connor officiating.

Arrangements were under the direction of Rabenhorst Funeral Home in Baton Rouge.

Mrs. Montagnet was a native of Natchez and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alexander MacRae and Catherine McKittrick MacRae; one daughter, Charmaine Dubuys Montagnet; and one son, George Pierre Montagnet III.

Survivors include one son, Alexander Lawrence Montagnet and wife, Deborah Montagnet of Winston Salem, N.C.; two daughters, Tina Grace Montagnet of Natchez and Yvonne Montagnet Rousset and husband, Kirk Michael, of Oscar, La.; five grandchildren, Alexander Lawrence Montagnet II of Winston Salem, Chase Lacy Montagnet of Arlington, Va., Ashley Nicole Minsky and Bailey Reynold Minsky, of Oscar, La., and Monty Ray Montagnet of San Antiono, Texas; and one great-grandson, Thomas Michael Minsky.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in Lady Kate’s name, to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Attn: Tribute Program, P.O. Box 1000, Department No. 142, Memphis, TN 38148.

The family gives a special thanks to Dr. Louis Barfield.
