NATCHEZ — Services for Charles Edward Harris, 80, of Natchez, who died Monday, June 17, 2013, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. David O’Connor officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church, with a Rosary at 10 a.m.
Mr. Harris was born April 18, 1933, in Natchez, the son of Charles “Charlie” Harris Sr. and Mary Clay.
He served in the U.S. Army and was a former employee with the City of St. Paul, Minn.
Mr. Harris was Catholic.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Irma Harris; and one sister, Joyce Harris Williams.
Survivors include five siblings, Charles “Mickey” Harris Jr. and wife, Selma, Gloria H. Warren, all of Natchez, Shirley Whitfield and husband, Dr. George Whitfield, of Baton Rouge, Charlene Martin of Minnesota and Theresa Lynette Breaux of California; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
