NATCHEZ — Services for James “Spook” “June” Ferguson Jr., 60, of Natchez, who died Saturday, June 15, 2013, at the G.V. “Sonny” Montgomery Veterans Hospital in Jackson, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation will be from noon to 4 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Ferguson was born April 14, 1953, in Natchez, the son of James Ferguson Sr. and Edna Mae Thomas Ferguson.
Mr. Ferguson served in the U.S. Army and was a former truck driver in Minnesota.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son.
Survivors include three children, Shawandra Reason of Minnesota, Vernette J. Ferguson and Monica Stokes, both of Michigan; one stepdaughter, KaChica Dukes of Washington, D.C.; and a number of grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
