Glen and Gail Jackson of Starkville announce the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Carol Jackson, to Justin Clark Johnson, son of Gigi Johnson of Natchez.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Starkville High School and a graduate of East Mississippi Community College in Mayhew. She is employed by Natchez Community Hospital.

She is the granddaughter of Jack and Nita Connell of Malakoff, Texas and Barbara Brent of Huntsville, Ala.

She is also the granddaughter of David and Debbie Turman of Clinton and Joyce Jackson of Starkville and the late Terry Jackson.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Cathedral High School in Natchez and a graduate of Mississippi State University in Starkville. He is co-owner of Eccentricities, LLC, in Natchez.

He is the grandson of Gayle Edwards of Natchez and the late Ellen Edwards.

The wedding will be at 6 p.m., Saturday, July 27, 2013, at Woodside Estates in Starkville.

A reception will follow the ceremony.
