Mr. and Mrs. Roger Cheshier of El Dorado, Ark., announce the engagement of their daughter, Katie Beth Cheshier, to Charles Patrick Golden Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. James Hancock of Vidalia and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Patrick Golden Sr. of Natchez.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Parker’s Chapel High School in El Dorado and a graduate of Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, La. She is employed by Tara Therapy, LLC in Ruston.

She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Billie Brown and the late Thomas Brown and Joe and Billie Cheshier, all of El Dorado.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Vidalia High School and also a graduate of Louisiana Tech University in Ruston. He is employed by Goldman Equipment, LLC in West Monroe, La.

He is the grandson of Mrs. Velma Cowart and the late H.O. Cowart, Mrs. Grace Smith and the late Lawrence Smith and Mrs. Roma Golden and the late H.C. Golden, all of Natchez.

The wedding will be at 6 p.m., Saturday, July 20, 2013, at Temple Baptist Church in Ruston.

A reception will follow at Ruston Civic Center.
