FERRIDAY — Services for Derrick Butler, 35, of Ferriday, who died Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, La., from injuries sustained in an auto-pedestrian accident on June 12, 2013, in Ridgecrest, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sunflower Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. P. Thomas officiating.

Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Butler was born Dec. 23, 1977, in Ferriday, the son of Elizabeth Butler.

Survivors include his wife, Jeneice Hill Butler; his mother; three sons, Curtis Johnson and Kendayis Butler, all of Ferriday, and Bryant Johnson of Rayville, La.; four daughters, Daveyona Cullins and Lenora Butler, both of Ferriday, LaDashia Johnson and Darriel Butler, both of Rayville; four brothers, Darren Butler of Modesto, Calif., Reginald Butler, Daniel Butler and Lamarr Butler; two sisters, Sharice Butler and LaShaun Butler, all of Ferriday; one grandchild, Kennedy Johnson of Rayville; and a number of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
