Moore named president of dental association

WOODVILLE — On July 1, Dr. Delton Moore of Woodville took office as the 138th president of the Mississippi Dental Association.
Moore is a general dentist who is a lifetime resident of Woodville and has been in practice there since 1976.
He is a graduate of University of Southern Mississippi. He completed his dental degree in 1975 from the University of Tennessee Dental School.
He has served the Mississippi Dental Association in many capacities. He is a past president of the Sixth District Dental Association; he was a member of the Judicial Council, Peer Review Committee and Medicaid Task Force. He served as chairman of the Peer Review Committee Sixth District MDA. Since 2000 he has been a board member of the Political Action Committee and Board of Trustees of the Mississippi Dental Association. He is a member of the Mississippi Donated Dental services, a philanthropic arm of the MDA.
Moore has served on the ADA Council on Membership Program for Growth selection committee and on the ADA Golden Apple Awards selection committee. He is a member of the American College of Dentist and the International College of Dentist.
He and wife Teresa, have one daughter Dearing and son in law Dan Stevens.
