Adams County Justice Court Cases

Week of June 28-July 3

Kelvin Harris pleaded guilty to trespassing.

Jeremy Ealey pleaded guilty to simple assault.

Llewellyn Letcher charged with three counts of arson. Case bound over to a grand jury. Letcher was also charged with possession of a stolen item. Case bound over to a grand jury.

Heather Kelly-Lacrosse pleaded guilty to trespassing less than larceny.

Rovontae Jenkins pleaded guilty to trespassing less than larceny.

Adams County Circuit Court Cases

Thursday, June 6

Khadijah Mosby, who was charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and has admitted to violation of his probation in cause numbered 11-KR-0138-S, had his case entered nolle prosequi in Judge Lillie Blackmon Sanders’ court.

Wednesday, May 29

Carlton Johntrell Hoggatt has his case entered nolle prosequi in Sanders’ court for the reason that the defendant’s probation in cause number 09-KR-0048(A)-S has been revoked and the defendant has been ordered to serve the entirety of his sentenced for armed robbery.

Terry Lamont Williams, who was indicted for sale of cocaine and possession of weapons by convicted felon, has his case entered nolle prosequi and dismissed in Sanders’ court.

Friday, May 17

Tiffany Davis pleaded guilty to misdemeanor malicious mischief in Sanders’ court. Sentenced to six months in the County Jail, suspended. Sentenced to six months unsupervised probation. Must immediately pay all court costs incurred by the county in the amount of $247.75. May pay a fine of $500.00 to be paid within six months. Must pay restitution to the Natchez Police Department in the amount of $52.00 within six months.

Tangelia Marita Franklin pleaded guilty to grand larceny in Sanders’ court. The Court withheld acceptance of the defendant’s plea and entered an order of non-adjudication of guilt, provided successful completion of the conditions imposed in this order. Must pay all court costs, a $200 prosecution fee and restitution in the amount of $4,291 within one year from this day in the office of the Adams County Circuit Clerk. The defendant is placed on formal probation under the supervision of the Mississippi Department of Corrections for one year.

Monday, May 13

Emily Vaughan Holland pleaded guilty to uttering a forgery (Count 1) in Sanders’ court. The Court withheld acceptance of the defendant’s plea and entered an order of non-adjudication, provided successful completion of the conditions imposed in this order. Must pay all court costs, a $200 prosecution fee and restitution in the amount of $276.59 within 90 days from this day in the office of the Adams County Circuit Clerk. Counts 2-4 (uttering a forgery) are dismissed.

Friday, May 10

William McGraw, who was charged with accessory after the fact, had his case entered nolle prosequi in Sanders’ court for the reason that the state made an agreement with counsel for McGraw to grant him immunity in exchange for his testimony against the co-defendant.

Hugh Hedrick, who was charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance – methamphetamine, has his case entered nolle prosequi in Sanders’ court for the reason that the co-defendant in this case has exonerated this defendant.

Wednesday, May 8:

Jerome Harris, who was charged with burglary of a dwelling, has his case dismissed with prejudice in Sanders’ court for lack of a speedy trial.

Tuesday, May 7:

George Byrd, who was charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, has his case retired to the inactive files in Sanders’ court for the reason that after diligent search and inquiry, essential witnesses cannot be found and are, therefore, unavailable.

Wednesday, May 1:

Christopher McGehee pleaded guilty to misdemeanor possession of a Schedule III controlled substance in Sanders’ court. Sentenced as follows: (1) serve a period of one year in the county jail; the Defendant is given credit for time served and the remainder of the sentence is suspended upon good behavior and strict adherence to the terms of this order; (2) pay court costs in the amount of $246.00 within 30 days of this Order; (3) pay a fine of $1,000.00 within 90 days of this Order; (4) be placed on non-reporting probation for one year.

Anthony Steven Holmes, who was indicted with possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, has his case entered nolle prosequi and dismissed in Sanders’ court for insufficient evidence to obtain a conviction.

Amanda Nichole Newman, who was indicted on charges of sale and possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, has her case entered nolle prosequi and dismissed in Sanders’ court for insufficient evidence to obtain a conviction.

Friday, June 28:

Percy Ellis, 25, pleaded guilty to littering. Sentenced to 10 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $249.

Natasha MacKey, 35, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor false pretense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Total fine set at $436.17.

Sonya Bacon, 31, pleaded guilty to willful trespassing. Sentenced to 10 days with three days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Credit given for seven days served. Banned from Zippy’s. No fine assessed.

Tyonna R. Davis pleaded guilty to shoplifting – second offense. Sentenced to 60 days with 52 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve eight days in jail. Fine set at $673.

Dewayne Dunmore, 31, pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace – domestic violence. Sentenced to 30 days with four days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Twenty-six days served. No fine assessed.

Jerry Lyne Lee, 54, pleaded guilty to felony false pretense. Fine set at $743.00.

Jerry Lynn Lee, 54, pleaded guilty to five counts of misdemeanor false pretense. Total fine set at $2,008.32.
