WOODVILLE — Funeral services for Inola Jackson Campbell, 84, of Pride, La., who died Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at her residence, will be noon Wednesday at the Wilkinson County High School Auditorium with the Rev. Michael Campbell officiating.

Burial will follow at Cedar Rest Cemetery No. 2 in Woodville under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home.campbell

Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Rollins Chapel in Woodville.

Mrs. Campbell was born Nov. 19, 1928 in Arcadia, La., the daughter of Cap Jackson and Lillie Jones Jackson.

She received her bachelor’s degree from Alcorn State University; she also attended Tougaloo College. She furthered her studies by obtaining a master’s degree in administration from the University of Southern Mississippi. She was a member of the National Teachers’ Association, and was a retired educator of 32 years in the Wilkinson County Public School District. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Campbell Sr.; one son, Samuel J. Campbell Jr.; three grandchildren; two brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include one son, Michael Campbell and wife, Patrice, of Woodville; five daughters, Barbara Davis of Baton Rouge, Patricia A. Davis and husband, Charles, of Farmerville, La., Shirley C. Richardson and husband, Alvin, of Slaughter, La., Debra Wilson and husband, Stanley, of Pride, and Joyce Inola Campbell of Pride; two sisters, Azilee Duplechan of San Bernadino, Calif., and Velma Hayes of Los Angeles; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Joel Jackson, Brandon Wilson, Carlos Davis, Tyrone Davis, Jonathan Campbell, Samuel Campbell Jr. and Joshua Dunning.

Honorary pallbearers will be Louis Bruce, Jessie Veals, Michael Campbell, Charles Davis, Alvin Richardson and Stanley Wilson.
