070913 MindyDHarris obitpicHATTIESBURG — Memorial services for Mindy Darby Harris, 42, of Hattiesburg, who died Saturday, July 6, 2013, after a long battle with brain cancer, will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Moore Funeral Home in Hattiesburg with Dr. Bryant Barnes, the Rev. Wayne Ward and the Rev. Tom Thurman, all of First Baptist Church, Columbia, officiating. Music will be presented by Chris Turnage.

Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, followed by fellowship at Hardy Street Baptist Church Activities Center.

Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Before her illness, Mindy was employed for a number of years as a printing clerk at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. She will be most remembered for her love of family, co-workers, music and good food.

Mrs. Harris was a graduate of South Natchez High School, Copiah-Lincoln Community College and Mississippi State University.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Harris; her parents, Neil and Anna Darby of Columbia; three sisters, Dawn Dias and husband, Peter, of Columbia, Terri Moore and husband, Darren, of Arlington, Texas and Jessica Kirkpatrick and husband, Nick, of Petal; eight nieces and nephews, R.J. and Matthew Dias of Columbia, Jacob, Stella and Alex Moore of Arlington, Jett and Cash Kirkpatrick of Petal and Ruddie Harris of Northville, Mich.; her father and mother-in-law, Kim and Nell Harris of Gulf Shores; two brothers-in-law, T.K. Harris of Miami and Marion Harris of Northville; her best friend, Dianne Raborn; and her beloved pet, Lobo.

Pallbearers will be Gary Gordon, Peter Dias Jr., R.J. Dias, Tony Miller, Nick Kirkpatrick and Hank Sossaman.

Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Pendland, Bill Cranford, Don Murphy, Jessy Bass and Tre Ruhl.
