NATCHEZ — Memorial services for Michael Wayne Neely, 51, of Monks Corner, S.C., and formerly of Natchez, who died July 10, 2013, in Monks Corner, S.C., will be announced at a later date.

Mr. Neely was born on April 17, 1962, in Natchez, the son of Betty and James E. Neely.

Michael was born and reared in Natchez and was known by his many friends for his great smile and mastery of jokes. He loved to work on small engines, which was a challenge for him.

Mr. Neely was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth “Missy” Robinson Neely; one son, James Jamie “Michael” Neely; and one daughter, Anna Neely, all of Monks Corner; mother, Betty Neely of Natchez; two brothers, James E. Neely Jr. and wife, Sheryl, of Natchez and William “Billy” A. Neely and wife, Lorri Neely, of Natchez; one sister, Debbie Ward and fiancée, Danny Hankins, of Natchez; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of memorials, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice.
