NATCHEZ — Services for Patrick Conner Carter, 53, of Natchez, who died Friday, July 19, 2013, at his residence, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Alan Colodny officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Carter was born March 24, 1960, the son of Walter Carter Jr. and Leona Burns Carter. He was a member of New Beginnings Community Church in Natchez. He was the owner of Attic Treasures Old and New Flea Market.

Mr. Carter worked for the Adams County Sheriff’s Office for eight years before retiring in 2011.

He was preceded in death by his father; one brother, Walter Charles “Chuck” Carter; one sister, Kathy Carter Barr; and one niece, Michelle Barr.

Survivors include his wife, Angie McDowell Carter; three daughters, Jennifer Carter, Melissa Carter and Allison Carter, all of Natchez; his mother of Natchez; and one niece, Leigh Ann Barr Byrne of Hattiesburg.

Pallbearers will be George Hammack, Jerry Bradshaw, Spank Felter, James Krandall McDowell, Tim McDowell and Jonathan McDowell.

Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Lindsey, Jacky Swarts, Spanky Felter, former coworkers of Adams County Sheriff’s Office and John Fox.
