NATCHEZ — Services for Rosie “Doll” Singleton, 98, of Natchez, who died Monday, Aug. 5, 2013, at Adams County Nursing Facility, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Greater St. Mark Baptist Church with the Rev. Maurice Irving officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon until 5 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church.
Mrs. Singleton was born Aug. 6, 1914, in Adams County, the daughter of Caleb Johnson and Lizzie Foster Johnson.
She was a homemaker and a member of Greater St. Mark Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Will Singleton; her parents; and eight siblings; three sons, William, James and Clarence Singleton; and two grandsons, Stevie Singleton and Paris Thomas.
Survivors include two sons, Leonard Singleton and Leroy Singleton, both of Chicago; one daughter, Susie Lee Singleton of Natchez; a granddaughter she raised as her own, Brenda Singleton Williams of Lithonia, Ga.: a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
