Mr. and Mrs. David Griffin of Baldwyn announce the engagement of their daughter, Chelsea Griffin, to Michael Scudiero, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tony Scudiero of Olive Branch, formerly of Natchez.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Baldwyn High School and is attending Mississippi State University in Starkville pursuing a degree in elementary education.

She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Carolyn Griffin and the late Mr. Wayne Griffin and Mr. Wayne Heavener and the late Mrs. Geraldine Heavener, all of Baldwyn.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Trinity Episcopal Day School in Natchez and a graduate of Mississippi State University. He is employed by Cerner Corp. of Kansas City, Mo.

He is the grandson of Mrs. Mary Elaine Kohler and the late Mr. Raymond Kohler of Overland Park, Kan., and Mr. and Mrs. Dominick “Scoots” Scudiero of Kansas City.

The wedding will be at 5 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at First Baptist Church in Baldwyn. A reception will follow at Elkin Place in Tupelo.
