NATCHEZ — Services for Vera Anderson McDonald, 90, of Ridgeland and formerly on Natchez, who died Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, in Ridgeland, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Parkway Baptist Church with the Rev. Ken Hopkins officiating.

Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Tuesday at the church.

Mrs. McDonald was born June 15, 1923, in Sumrall, the daughter of James Eugene Anderson and Nancy Graham Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Anselem Harrison “Mac” McDonald, with whom she made a home in Natchez for many years, and three sisters, Earlene Roberts, Eather Bowman and Nettie Lee Saucier May.

Survivors include two sons, Charles Keith McDonald and wife, Wessie, of Petal and Dale Harrison McDonald and wife, Tina, of Hattiesburg; one daughter, Nancy McDonald Frederick of Flowood; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Minnie Anderson of Gulfport and Bobbie Johnston Collier of Lawrenceville, Ga.

Pallbearers will be Chuck McDonald, Will Frederick, James Bordelon, George Bordelon, Ricky Long and Ricky Thomas.

The family wishes to thank the staff of the Arbor in Ridgeland, Dr. Samuel Peeples, Gina Seago and the staff of Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland for their care and support of Mrs. McDonald in her last months.
