Mr. and Mrs. John Serafin III of Natchez announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Marlee Kate Serafin, to Garrett Wayne Jones, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rossi Copeland and Mr. and Mrs. Gary Jones of Ferriday.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Trinity Episcopal Day School and Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Natchez, where she earned a degree in respiratory therapy. She also attended the University of Southern Mississippi. She is employed by Natchez Regional Medical Center and Natchez Community Hospital.

She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Helen Hedglin and the late Marlin M. Hedglin of Natchez and Mrs. Myrtis Serafin and the late John Serafin Jr. of Gulfport.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Cathedral School and Louisiana State University, where he earned a degree in construction management. He is employed by Bryant Hammett and Associates in Ferriday.

He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Bryant of Natchez and Mrs. Sadie Jones and the late Elwood Jones of Clayton.

The wedding will be at 6 p.m., Oct. 12, at Brandon Hall with a reception to follow.
