NATCHEZ — Funeral services for Emmett McCoy, 80, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at R.D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Leonard Calcote officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of R.D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. today.

Mr. McCoy was born April 25, 1933, in Jefferson County, the son of Lubie Johnson McCoy and Charlie McCoy Sr.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, and was formerly employed at Diamond International Company.

Mr. McCoy was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Roxietta McCoy Evans, Lubie McCoy Calcote and Lizzie McCoy Malone; and two brothers, Charlie McCoy Jr. and Joseph McCoy.

Survivors include two sisters, Mary McCoy Alfred of Los Angeles and Henretta McCoy; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Pallbearers will be his nephews.
