MEADVILLE — Franklin County High School softball fell to Wesson High School 11-4 in a district match Wednesday, and head coach Dana Smith said they didn’t play to their full potential.
“We have to do a better job of getting outs on base hits and play to our potential,” Smith said.
Despite a rough batting night, Hayle McKinney scored a home run for the Lady Bulldogs.
“That was a good job by Hayle,” Smith said. “That was her first home run ever.”
The Lady Bulldogs will head to their next district match against Lawrence County today and Smith said they have to play better in order to get the win.
“Our district is pretty closely matched, we just have to play to our full potential,” Smith said. “I have to refocus with the girl and we just have to tune that potential.”
The junior varsity will play at 5 p.m. followed by the varsity at 6 p.m.
