NATCHEZ — Funeral services for John Donald Shupe II, 41, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at his residence, will be 2 p.m. today at the Laird Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Bo Swilley officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. until time of services Monday at the funeral home.

At a young age, John accepted Christ as his Savior and was active at Parkway Baptist Church until he became an adult. He recently became a member of First Baptist Church. John was a very gifted man who loved to help others and counseled many people through his business as a life coach. He was a graduate of Natchez High School and Mississippi College.

One of his greatest joys in life was being with his family — father, sister, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many cousins. He dearly loved all of his family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Jones Fulmer; his grandparents John Dixon Shupe and Lavada Reed, and James R. Jones and Clarice E. Jones; a brother-in-law, John Paul Rachal; and an uncle, James R. Jones Jr.

Survivors include his father, John Donald Shupe and wife, Alice; one sister, Scarlett Shupe Eidt and husband, Chuck; two nephews, Christian Rachal and Ryan Rachal and wife, Jessica; one niece, Sandy Davidson and husband, Stan; great niece and nephew, KaLeigh and Bland Davidson; aunts and uncles, Pam and Freddie Sandel, Joan Jones, Ronald and Diane Shupe, Mattillee and James Waycaster, Tillie McWhorter and Vivian Smith; and a number of cousins and close friends.

Pallbearers will be Christian Rachal, Ryan Rachal, Stan Davidson, Lewis Sandel, Jay Sandel, Chris McWhorter, Trae Jones and Dustin Jones.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a church or charity of choice.
