Armed robbery reported in Natchez

NATCHEZ — Natchez police are investigating a reported armed robbery at Holiday Apartments they believe is actually a drug deal gone bad.
Natchez Police Lt. Craig Godbold said the victim reported he was visiting his girlfriend when he got into a verbal argument with the suspect, an acquaintance. The suspect reportedly hit the victim in the face and took $400 from his pants pockets.
Godbold said police believe the cause of the altercation was that the victim owed the suspect money for drugs.
