NATCHEZ — Funeral services for Delarius Webb Dawson, 84, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be 11 a.m. today at Jerusalem Baptist Church with the Rev. Ernest Ford Sr. officiating.
Burial will be noon Tuesday at the National Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday, with a celebration of life wake service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Dawson was born May 6, 1929, in Wilkinson County, the daughter of Isaac Webb and Louisa Knight Webb.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willie Dawson; three sisters, Ezetha Stewart, Mary Cage, and Alene Dawson; one brother, Eddie Webb; one daughter-in-law, Renee Mackel Dawson; six brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law.
Survivors include five children, Willie Mae Jones and husband Eddie, Bernice Turner and husband Walter, Arthur Dawson and wife Shirley, Freddie Dawson and wife Lois and Robert Lee Dawson, all of Natchez; one brother, Clinton Webb of Woodville; four sisters-in-law, Nell Dawson of Hattiesburg, Madeline Webb and Pearlie Mealey of Baton Rouge, Gloria Dawson and Rosemary Dawson of Memphis; one brother-in-law, Bobby Dawson and wife, Arnetta, of Baton Rouge; special cousins, Ruby Knight, Clarence Arbuthnot, and Annie Lee Stewart of Natchez; Lovie McMorris of New Orleans; grandchildren, great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
