NATCHEZ — Memorial services for Frank Heathman, 76, a longtime Natchez area resident, who died on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, after a brief illness at Rapides Medical Center in Alexandria, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Marshall Funeral Home Chapel in Natchez.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Frank was born Nov. 11, 1936, in Ashland City, Tenn., the son of Ann and B. F. Heathman.
He graduated from Louisiana Tech in 1961 with a degree in engineering. After a short stay in Shreveport, La., he moved to the Natchez area. Mr. Frank as he was known, was very well-respected and sought after by all his peers for both his professionalism, deep knowledge of oil and gas well engineering and friendship. Frank was an avid gardener and loved to share the fruits of his green thumb. He cherished his beloved dogs, Charlie, Chipper and Bitsy.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Charlotte; one daughter, Elizabeth; one son, James and wife, Jen, of Katy, Texas; three grandchildren; one sister, Dian Bailiff of Hidaway, Texas; one sister-in-law, Margaret Anne Williams and husband, R. B.; one brother-in-law, James Payton and wife, Ollie, all of Ruston, La.; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Jude’s.
