VIDALIA– Funeral services for Donald Price Joseph, 79, who died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013, will be at noon on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Natchez under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until noon on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Joseph was born on July 6, 1934, the son of Douglas and Nettie Joseph.

He was a graduate of Crosby High School, University of Southern Mississippi and Mississippi State University. He was a teacher for the Concordia Parish School System for 27 years and a member of the Concordia Recreation Board for six years, serving as President for four years. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy.

Mr. Joseph is preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Roy, Jewel, Bob and Red.

Survivors include his wife, Dora Portera Joseph of Vidalia; two daughters, Mary Perry and husband, Jack and Cyndi Joseph; three grandchildren, Kandice Lockwood, and husband Ryan, Joseph Perry and Paige Perry; one great grandson, Kooper Lockwood. He is also survived by several dear friends, Ronnie Mizell, Patrick Armsted, Glenda Baker, John Hawkins and Eddie Baroni; one brother, Sid Joseph and wife Carolyn; one sister, Gwen Putnam, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Perry, Ryan Lockwood, Warren Joseph, Jeff Joseph, Owen Calkins, Daniel Arnold, Allen Westerman and Sam Denicola.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert Joseph, Tom Joseph, Dennis Joseph, Dickie Joseph, Greg Freeman and Ronnie Gardner.
