ROXIE — Funeral services for Bobbie Jane Felton Pernell, 63, who died Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, will be at 2 p.m. on Friday at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Wright officiating.

Burial will follow at Rose Hill No. 1 Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Friday at the church.

Mrs. Pernell was born on Sept. 30, 1950, in Franklin County, the daughter of James Washington and Rosa Ree Carter-Felton.

She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Lee Mack Felton, Amos Felton, and Leonard Felton; three sisters, Cordelia King, Levator Felton and Lillie Bee Smith; and one grandson, Damien Cortez King.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Lee Pernell; four daughters, Vanessa Alexander and companion, Myron Murphy, Samantha Hayes and husband, Rodney, Princess Pernell and Kimberlee Pernell; three sisters, Ruby Smith and husband, Roosevelt, Dortha Nelson and Vera Allen and husband, Claude; seven brothers, Alvin Felton and wife, Geneva, Arthur Felton, Jimmy Felton and wife, Bobbie, M.E. Felton and wife, Bessie Ray, Earlvin Felton and wife, Delores, Elmond Felton, and Arvenious “Bob” Felton; 11 grandchildren; two goddaughters; and a number of other relatives and friends.
