11_1 Anthony Zuccaro obit picNATCHEZ — Services for Anthony “Bubber” Edward Zuccaro, 86, of Natchez, who died Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, at his residence will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Basilica with the Rev. David O’Connor officiating.

Burial will follow in the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church.

Mr. Zuccaro was born Oct. 22, 1927, the son of Joseph Stephen Zuccaro and Marie Celia Zuccaro.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and president of Independent Oil and Coal Company, member of the Mississippi Petroleum Marketers Association and past president and member of the Rotary Club of Natchez. Mr. Zuccaro was an avid Ole Miss fan, and he loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mr. Zuccaro was preceded in death by his parents; former wife Nell K. Zuccaro; granddaughter Sarah Zuccaro; and daughter-in-law Suzanne Zuccaro.

Survivors include four sons, Edward Zuccaro, Bill Zuccaro, Charles Zuccaro and wife, Jolynn, and Paul Zuccaro; two daughters, Louise Finley and husband, Wayne, Alison Zuccaro Godfrey and husband, Jay; grandchildren Jason Rushing, Christopher Zuccaro and wife, Jamie, Amy Cox and husband, Ashley, Richard Zuccaro, Dru Godfrey and Nell Godfrey; great-grandchildren Kolby and Will Cox, Abigail and Clara Faye Zuccaro; step-grandchildren Will and Jacob Whitehead; and longtime friends Kay Smith, Beverly Yates, Bob Harveston and the sisters of Holy Family Catholic Church, Sister Bernadette, Sister Kathleen and Ms. Barnes.

Pallbearers will be Jason Rushing, Richard Zuccaro, Jay Godfrey, Eddie Rice, Ashley Cox and Stanley Cooper.

Honorary pallbearers will be Davis Lewis, Dru Godfrey, Kolby Cox, Will Cox, Rudolph Kincke, Wayne Finley, David Rushing and Christopher Zuccaro.

Special thanks to Mr. Zuccaro’s caregivers, Florence Tuesno, Pricella Jackson, Mary Pritchard, Dr. Chuck Borum, Dr. Bryan Barksdale, Roma Peters, Shunta Green and his dedicated nurses at Natchez Community Hospital, Sta-Home Health Care, Hospice Advantage and Angela Gooden.

Memorials may be made to the Natchez-Adams County Humane Society, Out of the Darkness Walk and Hospice Angels Foundation.
