NATCHEZ— A memorial service for Jennie Elizabeth Reed Moroney, 99, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, at Promise Specialty Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Basilica in Natchez, with the Rev. David O’Connor officiating.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Mrs. Moroney was born July 9, 1914, the daughter of James Noyes Bartlett Reed and Florence Eloise Lee Reed. She was a lifelong resident of Natchez, a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Louis Moroney; son, Richard Lee Moroney II; three brothers, Warren, William and Curtis Reed; and one sister, Eloise Reed.

Survivors include two sons, Charles Curtis Moroney and companion, Candi Davis and James Louis Moroney and wife, Judy; seven grandchildren, Ross Moroney, Curtis Moroney, Kari McKee and husband, Sean, Jennie Moroney, Patrice Garcia and husband, Joseph, Cristin Hughes and husband, Jay, and Richard Lee Moroney; 10 great-grandchildren, Chas and Andrew Moroney, Kelsey, Connor, Catherine, and Caroline McKee, Taylor Moroney, Cristin and Hannah Garcia and Patricia Hughes.
