Franklin County boys, girls soccer teams win

MEADVILLE — Franklin County’s Harley McKay scored an unbelievable six goals as the Lady Bulldogs steamrolled past the North Pike Jaguars 6-2 Tuesday night at the Franklin County Soccer Complex.
Krisyln Kent added two goals while Shelby Smith and Si’Edriq Middleton had one goal each for the Lady Bulldogs (3-0). Goalkeeper Macy Visken had nine saves in the game.
In the varsity boys’ game, Franklin County got two goals each from Hoby Mullins and Greg Queen in the Bulldogs’ 6-0 win over the North Pike Jaguars.
Both Zayne Mullins and Kemo Verdin had one goal and Bulldogs goalkeeper Nathaniel Verdin ended up with six saves as they, too, improved to 3-0 on the young season.
Both of Franklin County’s varsity soccer teams will next play on Saturday at the Loyd Star Tournament.
