NATCHEZ — The Natchez Police Department is expected to make an arrest today for an aggravated assault during which a man’s face was cut and one of his arms stabbed.
Detective Jerry Ford said the victim reported he was at a Franklin Street business Sunday when a man approached him about racing cars.
After the victim told the man he was not interested, the two reportedly got into a fight, during which the suspect pulled out a knife and cut the victim’s face and stabbed one of his arms, Ford said.
The victim took himself to a local hospital for treatment, Ford said, and was later released.
