Photo feature: Firefighters battle Concordia flames

Brittney Lohmiller / The Natchez Democrat — Crews with the Ferriday Fire Department and Concordia Fire District No. 2 responded to a fire at 619 Carolina Ave. shortly after 10 p.m. Thursday. Officials with the FFD said the fire was contained to the residence’s attic area and did not cause major damage. The fire department also responded to a Concordia Drive fire late Thursday night. The Concordia Drive fire resulted in a total structural loss, though officials said no one was at the residence at the time of the fire, and they have not been able to determine if it was inhabited.
