BATON ROUGE — Funeral services for Charles Otis Williams, 55, of Baton Rouge, who died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Winnfield Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Calvin Emery officiating.
Burial followed in Winnfield Memorial Park under the direction of Winnfield Funeral Home.
Visitation was from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Williams was a retired chef. He was a devoted usher and the lead cook for the church. He was well known for his amazing cooking skills.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Floyd; brothers, Percy Floyd and J.C. Floyd; sister Mary Williams Butler and grandson, Tremaine Beaulieu and two aunts, Ruth Dennis and Jeannetta Span.
He is survived by his mother Elizabeth Anderson Floyd; daughter, Shamelle Beaulieu and husband, Torry; sisters, Geraldine Williams of St. Louis, Lillie Henderson of Fayette, Lillie Braggs of Detroit and Rosemary Douglas of Baton Rouge; brothers, O’Neil Williams and wife, Charmaine, of Chicago, Samuel Floyd of Baton Rouge and Willie James Floyd of Blytheville; grandchild, Torry Beaulieu Jr.; aunts, Rosie Floyd of Doloroso, Bertha Byers of Augusta, Carrie Wolfe and Roberta Wheeler of Baton Rouge; uncles, Daniel Floyd of Milwaukee and Richard Anderson of Mendenhall; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and church family.
