Woodville man dies Saturday in single-vehicle wreck

WOODVILLE — A Woodville man died Saturday after his car ran off the roadway and collided with a tree on Mississippi 24 near White School House Road in Wilkinson County.
Tarvis A. Bolden, 26, of Woodville, was driving west on Mississippi 24 in a 2008 Landrover SUV Saturday before the wreck, according to Mississippi Highway Patrol Sgt. Rusty Boyd.
Bolden was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision and was ejected from the vehicle.
Bolden was pronounced dead on the scene by Wilkinson County Coroner Travis Sharp.
Gary L. James Jr., 24, of Woodville, was a passenger in the vehicle and sustained moderate injures before being taken to Filed Memorial Community Hospital. James was wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision.
Marcus Bell, 27, and Chase Robertson, 24, both of Woodville, were back-seat passengers and sustained minor injuries, but refused treatment by ambulance personnel at the scene. Neither was wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision, Boyd said.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
