NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Emma Lorene Averett Klutts, 94, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Natchez City Cemetery.
Burial will follow in Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Riverwood Family Funeral Service.
Klutts was born Nov. 26, 1919, the daughter of John and Amon Lorene Cupp Averett. When she was a child, the Averett family moved to Hattiesburg, where Lorene graduated from high school. She attended Mississippi Southern College, and there she met Paul Linwood Klutts, whom she married on July 8, 1939. Paul and Lorene celebrated their 74th wedding anniversary this past July.
She was a loving mother of four children, a dedicated homemaker, an outstanding cook and a world traveler. Her hobbies included fishing down on the bayou and gardening. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Pilgrimage Garden Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and son-in-law, John Robertson.
Survivors include four children, Paul Klutts and wife, Kristen, Kay Wineman and husband, Don, Susan Spann and husband, Frank and Carole Robertson; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
