FERRIDAY — Funeral services for James Waddie Thompson Jr., 86, of Monterey, who died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013 at Rapides Regional Hospital in Alexandria, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at New Era Baptist Church in Monterey.

Burial will follow at Dewey Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the church.
