MONTEREY — Karlee Woodruff led Monterey with a game-high 13 points as the Lady Wolves needed a big third quarter to pull away from Delhi Charter School en route to a 36-22 win over the Lady Gators Thursday night at the Monterey Tournament.

The first half — specifically the first quarter — didn’t have a lot of scoring by either team. Delhi Charter had a 4-2 lead over Monterey after one quarter of play and then took a 13-11 lead into halftime.

Then Monterey dominated Delhi Charter on both ends of the court in the third quarter. The Lady Wolves outscored the Lady Gators 21-4 for a 32-17 lead. Jody Duncan and Morgan Pecanty had six points each for the Lady Wolves.
