FERRIDAY — Funeral services for Sonya Lynette Tennessee, 40, of Natchez, formerly of Ferriday, who died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, at her residence, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Harvest Baptist Church in Ferriday, with the Rev. Eugene Williams officiating.
Burial will follow in Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Tennessee was born Dec. 8, 1973, in Pineville, the daughter of Alfred Walker and Gloria Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents.
Survivors include her mother; stepfather, Don Dixon, of Ferriday; her father, Alfred Walker, of Little Rock, Ark.; four brothers, Cedric Tennessee and wife, Connie, of Ferriday, Marcus Tennessee and wife, Nicole, of St. Joseph, Travis Robinson, of Atlanta, and Marcus Walker, of Little Rock, Ark.; three sisters, Stacy McGraw and husband, Tony, of Ferriday, Shannon Tennessee and husband, LaKendric, of Clayton, and LaTasha Walker, of Little Rock, Ark.; paternal grandmother, Jessie Walker, of Little Rock, Ark.; seven aunts, Emma Houston and husband, Ernest, Pinkey Pryor and husband, Reggie, Tammy Skipper, Jackie Willis and husband, Tony, LaDonna Bowman, all of Ferriday, Hester Davis, of New Orleans, Valerie Brewer, and Linda Kay Conner, of Chicago, and Linda Robinson, of Clayton; seven uncles, James Skipper and wife, Gloria, Clarence Skipper and wife, Kimberly, Michael Tennessee and wife, Jennifer, Robert Conner and wife, Uzella, Jimmie Skipper and wife, Jeanette, all of Ferriday, Sam Tennessee and wife, Karen, of Monroe, Donnie Conner, of Houston, and Ronnie Conner, of Chicago; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
