FLOWOOD— Memorial services for Martin James Wilson, 58, who died Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, at Hospice Ministries in Flowood, will be held at a later date.

Wilson was born on Feb. 9, 1955, in Natchez, the son Martin Kenneth “Kent” Wilson and Frances Mortiz Wilson.

He graduated from Pascagoula High School and continued his education at Mississippi State University. While attending MSU, he was a member of Lambda Chi social fraternity.

He began his career as an industrial sales representative in Mobile, Ala., responsible for sales throughout Alabama and the Mississippi Gulf Coast. In 2001, he moved to Jackson and accepted a sales position with C Spire, where he remained until he retired last year.

He was an avid golfer and collectd arrow heads. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing baseball. He will be remembered most as a loving son, brother, uncle and friend.

Wilson was preceded in death by his mother.

Survivors include his father; sister, Laura Blaylock and husband, Vic, of Jackson; and niece, Rachel Wiley and husband, Preston, of Tupelo.
