NATCHEZ — Services for Laura “Trilby” Johnson Hoggatt, 95, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. James P. Fallon officiating.
Burial will follow in the Natchez National Cemetery.
Mrs. Hoggatt was born on Sept. 10, 1918, in Adams County, the daughter of James and Aquilla Johnson.
She graduated from Brumfield High School and worked as a secretary at Susie B. West Elementary and AJFC. She was also a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
Mrs. Hoggatt was preceded in death by her husband, John Hoggatt Sr.; parents; five brothers, Cleve, Kelly, Herman, John and James Johnson; and four sisters, Sarah Smith, Mable Turner, Bertha Williams and Carlotta Watson.
Survivors include one son, John Hoggatt and wife, Lynn, of Pittsburg, Calif.; three granddaughters, Dr. Michell Ford and husband, Phill, of Tallahassee, Fla., Monica Pruit and husband, Tracy, of Miami, and Dana Ayers and husband, Johnathan of Pacheco, Calif.; two sisters, Willa O’Leary of Martinez, Calif., and Lillian Adams of Natchez; and two sisters-in-law, Gwendolyn Johnson of Vidalia and Elma Johnson of Natchez.
