FERRIDAY— Services for Richard Lee Thomas, 64, of Dallas, formerly of Ferriday, who died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2013, at his residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Greater St. Reed Baptist Church with the Rev. Justin Conner officiating.

Burial will follow in Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Thomas was born July 28, 1949, in Ferriday, the son of Lester Carter and Sarah Jane Thomas.

He was a carpenter.

Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his mother; three sons, Robert Thomas and wife, Jeanette, of New Orleans, Stacy Thomas of Dallas, and Lavon Carter of Ferriday; one daughter, Cynthia Colbert of Dallas; four sisters, Pinky Thomas and husband, Chris, Betty J. Carter, all of Ferriday, Vera Cowins and husband, Pinkie of Atlanta, and Hazel Smith and husband, Gerald, of New Orleans; five grandchildren; five uncles; one aunt and a number of nephews, nieces and cousins.
