PINEVILLE, La. — Memorial services for Jeffery John Bass, 39, of Monroe, who died Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013, at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport, will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Hixon Brothers Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Brandow officiating.

Services will be under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Sunday at the funeral home.

Mr. Bass was the son of David Bass Sr. and Tressie Ann Kahl Bass.

He attended Tioga High School and the University of Louisiana at Monroe and served in the National Guard. He was an avid fisherman, his daugther, mother, father and brothers will miss him. Even in death, he gave the gift of life to nine recipients.

Mr. Bass was preceded in death by his grandparents, Garland and Beverly Kahl and James and Wenell Bass.

Survivors include his parents; one daughter, Kaylen Bass, his father’s wife, Judy Bass; four brothers, David Bass Jr., Guy Bass, Keith Bass and Kevin Bass; and a number of uncles, aunts and cousins.
