NATCHEZ — Memorial services for Clinton A. Davis Jr., 80, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013, at his residence, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Walton Jones and the Rev. Sam Tomlinson officiating.
Burial will follow in Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.
Mr. Davis was born March 19, 1933, in Memphis, Tenn., the son of Clinton Andrew Davis Sr. and Ethel Roosa Davis.
He was a graduate of Mississippi State and the University of Mississippi. He was an attorney for the state of Mississippi and a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Rose Davis, of Natchez; two daughters, Katherine Davis Morgan, of Allen, Texas, and Towns Richardson and husband, David, of Louisville Ky.; four grandchildren, Amelia Morgan, Mary Winston Richardson, Katie Richardson and Pierce Richardson; one brother, Charles R. Davis and wife, Sandra, of Natchez; one sister-in-law, Rowan Milton and husband, Jim, of Natchez; three nieces, Betsy Mosby and husband, Slim, of Natchez, Rebecca Grantham and husband, Mike, of Lake St. John and Anna Sandel and husband, Matt, of Gulfport; and one nephew, Drew Davis, of Decatur, Ala.
Memorials may be made to the Natchez Adams County Humane Society or to Trinity Episcopal Church.
