FERRIDAY — Services for Roscoe “Scobo” Washington, 60, of Ferriday, who died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, at the Veterans Hospital in Alexandria, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Mercy Seat Baptist Church in Ferriday.

Burial will follow in the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Washington was born March 9, 2013, in Natchez, the son of George and Aubrey Clark Washington.

He was a welder and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Washington was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, James, Richard and Sylvester Washington; and one sister, Rosie W. Etter.

Survivors include his wife, Bobbe Brown Washington of Ferriday; one daughter, Tiana Shaw of Vallejo, Calif.; one brother, George Washington Jr. and wife, Idelle, of Columbia; one half-brother, Ricky Thomas of Jonesville; five sisters, Alberta Schiele and husband, Theodore, Novella Turner and husband, Eddie, Lucille Boxley and husband, Charles, Dorothy Poole, all of Ferriday, and Katherine McNally and husband, John, of Sacramento, Calif.; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
