NATCHEZ — Funeral services for Laura Ann Bumgardner Carter, 65, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, at Cullman Regional Medical Center in Cullman, Ala., will be 11 a.m. Monday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. today and 10 a.m. Monday until service time at Laird Funeral Home.

Ms. Carter was born Dec. 12, 1948, in Natchez, the daughter of Morris Mills Bumgardner and Annie Laura Ivy Bumgardner. She was an active and loving mother and grandmother.

Ms. Carter was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Morris Mills “Cowboy” Bumgardner Jr.

Survivors include her husband, John Hawkins; two sons, Kevin Thomas Sr. and Stephen Carter; two daughters, Tammy Thomas and Danielle Carter Williams; one grandson, Kevin Thomas Jr.; one granddaughter, Kacy Thomas; one sister, Gail Hughes; one brother, Lellon Bumgardner.

Pallbearers will be Carruth Higgins, Adam Scott, Anthony Scott, Jason Exelby, Kevin Thomas Jr. and Alex Hughes.
