Leon and Lynda Washington of Natchez announce the engagement of their daughter, Lexi Washington to Dionta Sutton, son of Melvin and Yolandia Sutton of Prentiss.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Natchez High School and is a graduate of University of Southern Mississippi and Antonelli College both in Hattiesburg.

She is employed by Hattiesburg Impact in Hattiesburg.

She is the granddaughter of Walter and the late Augustine Mackel of Natchez and the late Arthur and Edna Washington of Natchez.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Prentiss High in Prentiss and is a graduate of Jones Community College in Ellisville.

He is employed by Ellisville State School in Ellisville.

The wedding will be 5 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, at Hattiesburg Cultural Center in Hattiesburg.

A reception will follow.
